Summary
This website is informational. The app itself runs on your Android device and uses cloud accounts that you connect. We do not operate a hosted account system and we do not intentionally collect, store, or sell your personal data through the site.
Local backups stay on your device
Daily backups are written to local storage on your phone. The app does not upload backup contents anywhere unless you explicitly enable a cloud destination.
Cloud copies go to accounts you connect
When you link OneDrive, Google Drive, or Dropbox, the app uploads backups to that account using its official sign-in flow. The cloud provider's own terms and privacy policy apply to the data stored there. Better WhatsApp Backup does not retain a copy on any third-party server we run.
No hosted account requirement
The app does not require you to create an account with us. Connecting cloud storage uses each provider's own authentication and remains under your control to disconnect at any time.
No intentional analytics or tracking
This website is intended to be a simple informational site. It is not designed to include a marketing analytics pipeline, behavioural profiling, or a user account database.
Restoration is initiated by you
Restoring a backup back into WhatsApp is always an explicit action taken inside the app on your device. The app does not perform restores automatically without your input.
Changes
This page can be updated as the app evolves.
